Ski boots and skis are getting lighter all the time. But even the best ski equipment has a downside: it’s bulky and challenging to transport. Even if the accommodation is only a few minutes’ walk from the slopes, the trek from there to the skier’s paradise is the ‘lowlight’ of the day’s skiing. You can avoid all of this on your skiing holiday in Obergurgl with the free standard ski depots from Scheiber Sport for Scheiber Sport customers. Thanks to these depots, travelling from nearby places such as Sölden, Zwieselstein, Vent, Huben and Längenfeld by car or bus is also easy.
Ski depots at all connecting lifts
The ski depots are located in the four Scheiber Sport branches in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. Each of the four locations is located at a bottom station, meaning that all the ski area’s connecting lifts are covered. The four depots can be found at the following ski lifts:
- S1 bottom station of Hohe Mut & Roßkarbahn (Obergurgl)
- S4 bottom station of Festkogelbahn (Obergurgl)
- S5 bottom station of Hochgurglbahn 1 (Pill)
- S6 bottom station of Große Karbahn (Hochgurgl)
Each depot opens at 8:00 am (Mon–Thu: 8:30 am) and remains accessible until 6:30 pm (except S6, which closes at 6:00 pm). Shops S1 and S4 also offer late-night shopping on Saturdays, which means that equipment can be rented and stored for longer periods. In addition, the depots of the S5 and S6 branches at the Hochgurglbahn are open for you during the night skiing sessions.
Dry ski boots
No matter which station you rented your ski equipment from, all ski depots remain accessible to Scheiber Sport customers during the opening hours of the respective ski rental shops. Outside these hours, the rooms are locked to prevent theft. In addition to the logistical advantages, the ski depots in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl offer an added bonus: your ski boots will be dry the next day!

Scheiber Sport ski depots in Obergurgl
Here are some of the benefits you can look forward to when you store your skis in one of our ski depots on the slopes:
- No lugging equipment about: Scheiber Sport has branches at all important lower stations of the connecting lifts in Gurgl (Hohe Mut/Roßkarbahn, Festkogelbahn, Hochgurglbahn 1, Große Karbahn)
- Free for Scheiber Sport customers: if you rent your skis from Scheiber Sport, you will receive a standard depot on the slopes for free.
- Depot rental for other individuals: did you buy your own equipment or rent your skis from another rental company? You can still make your life easier by renting a ski depot from Scheiber Sport for a small fee.
- Customer-friendly opening hours: our depots are open daily from 8:00 am (Mon–Thu: 8:30 am). Depending on the day of the week, you can return your equipment up until 6 pm or 6:30 pm.
- Anti-theft ski depots: the Scheiber Sport ski depots are only accessible during branch opening hours. In addition, each customer is assigned their own depot with a unique number, which means that mix-ups are virtually impossible.
- Dry and warm: our ski depot is equipped with boot dryers, ensuring your boots will be warm and dry for the next day’s skiing adventure. Your skis and helmet are also stored in a secure, warm environment.
