As is the case every year, skiers in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl can once again look forward to perfect conditions all the way through to the end of the season. The resort’s high altitude of between 1,800 and 3,080 metres above sea level ensures plenty of snow well into spring. As every year there will be a great end-of-season party featuring highlights such as Yoga in the Alps, the chance to drive a piste groomer, guided ski tours for beginners and traditional live music high in the mountains.
Top conditions from start to finish
For years Obergurgl-Hochgurgl has been famous for its spring skiing. All the pistes in the resort remain open through until the end of the season, while the high alpine location ensures lots of sunshine during the spring months. Soft snow, warm sun, higher temperatures and longer days – what’s not to like about spring skiing?
Spring fun on and off the slopes
Skiers will have the chance to experience the feeling of skiing soft spring snow with instructors from the Obergurgl Ski School. In small groups, instructors will take participants to the best places in the resort to enjoy the unique sensation of carving down through soft spring snow. Another activity on offer is ski touring for beginners, where experts from the Alpincenter Obergurgl will be on hand to show newcomers to the sport how to have fun and stay safe off
Yoga in the Alps
Yoga is a wonderfully relaxing activity for mind, body and soul – but Yoga in the Ötztal Alps is even better! Regularly there will be yoga courses held in the ski resort (in bad weather they will take place in the Piccardsaal Obergurgl). Yoga in the Alps is the ideal way to relax and find your inner peace on holiday. Namasté!
Après ski with live music
On the final two weekends of the season there will be live music many of the mountain huts in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. Sit back, relax, enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere while you gaze out over the spectacular Ötztal Alps.
